(Preposition)ON TO

GET ON TO: start talking about something. we got on to talking about old days.
GET ON TO: contact a person. i got on to the manager of the firm.
HANG ON TO: to keep a thing. she wished to hand on to the wrist watch.
HOLD ON TO: keep your hold tight around something. he held on the
branch of the tree to prevent falling.
HOLD ON TO:  to keep something. the troops held on to the post.
LATCH ON TO:demand attention and time. a kid latched on to me.
LATCH ON TO: realize or learn about something. it took me sometime to
latch on to the fact.
LATCH ON TO: attack firmly. the insects latch on to the cattle.
MOVE ON TO: start talking on a new topic. he next moved on to another
burning problem in his talk.
PUT ON TO: put one  thing on the top of another. she put the sick man
on to the bed.
THROW ON TO: make something fall with force on top of the other.vijay
threw himself on to the bed.
VOTE ON TO: elect a person as a menber. he was voted on to the select
committee.
